1. Change oil every 5,000 miles, not every 3,000 miles
2. Keep your tires properly inflated: 3% improvement
3. Always have a clean air filter
4. Speed 50mph is optimal. Every 5 mph more or less from optimum - 1 mpg less.
5. Less quick acceleration and braking: 5% improvement
6. More free driving: e.g. 60mph then free driving to 55mph - 2.5% improvement
7. Warm your engine to start full speed
