Windows XP randomly loses connection to network. How can I fix it?

Q. Windows XP randomly loses connection to network. How can I fix it?
A.
1. Right click on your small wireless icon in notification area (taskbar) and choose 'Open Network Connections'.
2. Right click on 'Wireless Network Connection' and choose 'Properties'.
3. On 'General' tab click 'Configure' button to open wireless adapter properties.
4. Change 'Channel selection' from 11(default) to 1(or different from 11).
5. In 'Power Management' select 'Highest' performance.

Now your wireless adapter will work with highest performance and different channel from your neighbors (who use default channel 11) without interference. No more loosing connection.

Wireless Networking Connection Issues?

Q. Wireless Networking Connection Issues.? It was working fine for the last 3 or 4 years...
A. Connect directly your computer to modem without using wireless. If connection is OK it means your wireless Linksys is dead. Replace it. It happens often with Linksys after 3-4 years. But if no connection from your modem it means modem is dead.Everything is OK if your ISP is working.Sometimes ISP like Comcast doesn't work properly in some location after some years.
