What is better white sugar or brown sugar?

Q. What is better white sugar or brown sugar?
A. Brown sugar is a mixture of white sugar and 5-10% molasses. More molasses more browner color. Better taste if you use a white sugar for tea and brown sugar for coffee.
For cookies better is brown sugar because molasses creates more moisture and cookies are softer at room temperature.
Teaspoon of brown sugar contains about 17 Kcal and white sugar - 16 Kcal.
Brown sugar (but not white sugar) contains some of the minerals: calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium in very small amount.
The real differences between white and brown sugar is taste and the effects on baked stuff.
